What makes it sad is this idea of going backwards, right? That we were able to enjoy something that the people coming after us never will. I was about to say that that is something new, but upon reflection I suppose that is not true. Here in the Bay Area, the old-timers tell us how beautiful the Valley used to be - especially in the spring, when all the orchards were in bloom. Maybe those days WILL return?
